Step by step

Manhua specifics

Simplified and traditional: both scripts are detected and translated, and the Mandarin voice reads either.
Dense text: tightly packed bubbles and side text are handled.
Source language: leave it on auto-detect, or set it to Chinese in the popup on mixed pages.

If detection misses text

Reload the page once, then press T again.
Wait for images to finish loading before translating.
Set the source to Chinese explicitly if auto-detect is unsure on a page that mixes languages.

Do I get pinyin over the characters?

No. The reading overlay (furigana) is Japanese-only. For Chinese you get the translation plus native-voice playback.
