Listening is the skill most self-study skips, because input at the right level is hard to find. Manga fixes the level problem, you choose it, and the extension reads every line aloud in a natural voice so you can hear it and say it back.
In Study mode, press the speaker on any bubble and a native voice reads the line while the words highlight in time. That highlight is the whole trick for shadowing: you can follow along and repeat each phrase the instant you hear it, instead of guessing where you are in the sentence.
Repeating speech immediately trains pronunciation, rhythm, and pitch at the same time, the parts of a language a textbook cannot give you. And manga dialogue is real, casual speech, contractions, sentence-final particles, emotion, not the careful sentences of a listening exercise.
